On the move

It's a funny thing moving to another province. It's still Canada, but it's oh so different from one place to another. Living in Nunavut for the last twelve years was living in a snow-covered, tree-less winter wonderland. Not that it was always wonderful but the landscape was always beautiful. The many shades of white that you simply don't experience anywhere else that I've been. It's something you really have to see to understand. And I miss it. My first Nova Scotia winter is oddly green. A few days of snow here and there but mostly green. I hadn't actually anticipated this when I moved. I just assumed that winter would be winter (except in BC) and that means snow! For the first time in my life I am living a green winter. It's only January so there is still hope. At least I am hopeful.
