It's only been a few days but I can tell that my goals may already be more than I can accomplish. I have been editing an hour a day on my children's book so that one worked out okay. It's managing to write 500-1000 words on my work in progress that is challenging. So far I have not managed a word. I refuse to be discouraged this early in the game though. Once I get going, I will be unstoppable (I hope). There are just so many frustrations at the moment with the picture book that it's taking up all my energy.
On a positive note, I did manage to do the them writing for my writer's group (Best Word) this week, so that's two goals met so far!
Tomorrow is another day and I will write!!
Carolyn, meeting two of your goals are better than no meeting any goals; so for that reason you are doing swell. Don't fret too much on the goals you are not able to meet; just adjust it so it works for you and does not add additional pressure where it's not needed. Maybe bring your minimum word count to 50 words a day -that way it won't seem as daunting; so hopefully it will give you the encouragement to sit down and write a few words rather than a page.
ReplyDeleteROW80 is about adjusting your goals to suit your lifestyle and what you can manage without stressing yourself out. I hope that helps? Good luck with the rest of the week. :)
Thanks for the encouragement! I had a good day today so things are moving forward.
